Made for Hawaii, Marcelo's new home.

The shaka is more than "hang loose." It means friendship, respect, gratitude and connection: the spirit of Aloha. On this tee, the hand is taped the way a Jiu Jitsu athlete tapes up before training, bringing Hawaii and Jiu Jitsu together in one sign.

The hand belongs to Yuta Shimada, one of Marcelo's students and a main coach at the Hawaii academy. Fun fact: Yuta is from a town in Japan called Shaka.
